The stock test ports accept a -4AN JIC 37 female fitting. There are special fittings available that will depress the stem in the test port or you can remove the stem with a valve stem tool. Several people have posted that the older R12 AC fittings work.

That pressure tester that I brought with me just has an R12 A/C shrader valve fitting on it.

The fitting in the pump uses a 37 degree angle as Dave D said, but if you remove the schrader, just get a regular -4AN fitting (it's 45 degrees, but will work fine).

That can be found at the local speed shop. Tell them you need it for a carburetor or something. #ad

I thought that the male cone of the test port fitting sealed against the female cone of the JIC 37/45 fitting. The Aeroquip adapter I used, part# 2242-4-2S, will fit either 37 or 45 degree fittings. Could be wrong, won't be the first, or last time.

I am trying to make a pressure guage. I have a 0-15 psi guage but I need to know what kind of fitting I need to have to attach to the port on the pump? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

David D. I sent you an e-mail requesting info on fitting for test plugthat would allow me to hook up my mechanical fuel pressure guage. This has been driving me nuts. Some say it was a short trip.
