Finally got around to installing a fuel pressure gauge on my '01 CTD. Truck has been running fine, plenty of power while towing, smooth idle no signs of any problems. Have been monitoring EGT, Turbo Boost and transmission Temps via set of Isspro gauges that were installed shortly after purchasing the truck.

So... . Thought everything was fine until I added the Fuel P gauge! The gauge is an Isspro EV2, electric pressure gauge, connected to the shraeder valve. When the truck is at idle the gauge reads 8 - 9 psi. I checked the Factory Manual and it stated that the fuel pressure should be 10 psi.

My question is... . Do I worry about this or is it within reasonable parameters?

Truck has 90k miles on it and is stock except fot exhaust and Edge set at Level 2.

You would be better off with 15 psi at an idle and 10 psi WOT. What you have is not bad but what does it do when you get after it? That will be the telling number.

How old is the fuel filter?. There are several things causing Low pressure such as the pickup screen in the tank, lift pump, fuel filter etc. I would also verify your readings with a mechanical test pressure gauge.

I had 7 psi at idle and barely 2psi when I added my gauges after I bought my truck. If you red on Blue Chips website he explains why nothing below 10psi is crucial. I know the guys on here back FASS pumps but I went with an AirDog 150 and continuously see 18 psi at idle and no less than 14psi at WOT. I have been very please with the pump.
