My freind has a 98. 5 24v, does any one know what the fuel pressure should be. At idle is 14psi under boost or full thortle is 8psi is this correct thanks.

ski2 saw you posted on 24 valve. Disagree with post over there. On 12v mechanical pumps fuel is delivered at 25 psi. I can't see that electric pump would be less. Unless the electronic injector pump makes up for the lost fuel pressure.
Unfortunately my Freightliner is in the shop and so is the Cummins maintenance service manual that came with the truck. When I get it back I'll see if it has psi for lift pump.
It should be close to a new Dodge.
Try e-mailing/calling Cummins or Dodge for specs.
