Wondering if anyone knows what the fuel pressure reading on a 01 should be? I currently seeing 9psi at idle and anyware between 6-7psi driving. The dealership replaced the fuel pump with the in tank module.

..... The pressure should be any where from 13-15... . No matter what anyone says it is VERY Important that the correct pressure is maintained at all times... . Fuel pressure and volume is a VP44's best friend and if the dealership tells you otherwise... well they are in the business of making money anyhow... . as far as what you could do about this is a FASS, RASP, or the Vulcan big line kit and relocated LP pump kit..... Hope this helps

I've seen comments in other posts about the in-tank pumps only putting out the same as you're getting, so it sounds like yours is working fine, just doesn't leave much room for error if it starts to fail and lose pressure. I too would suggest the Vulcan Big Line Kit and the external mounted pump at least, or you could step up to something like the FASS.

I run the Vulcan pusher pump big line kit with a brand new lift pump and new fuel filter and I see 11-12 psi cold, 9-10 crusing, and 8psi WOT.

Picking up Fuel Pressure at the Schrader Valve on the VP. I have the Vulcan relocation kit and run 13-15 at idle 11-13 at cruise and pulls down to around 10 at WOT. Perfectly happy with that.

The Vulcan kit has a port in the line for you to put a fitting in for the FP gauge. I would ditch the in tank if at all possible. I don't know what your mods are though so I don't know what kind of power you're pushing but that psi isn't very good for the VP. I had a friend that had the intank pump done from the dealer and the VP didn't last too long after that. It may or may not have been related. But I feel a lot better with 15psi. You should go ahead and fill in your signature so we know what mods you have and can help you better.

I've got my FP line plumbed into the top of the fuel filter cannister with NPT fitting. I'm getting 13psi at idle, about 11-12 at cruise speeds, and right around 9-10 at WOT. I'm running stock fuel lines and stock(not original by any means) LP in original location. A great place for a great LP/FP is www.glacierdiesel.com I've heard nothing but positive responses from owners of this pump. it's way cheaper than a FASS system, and most likely will prove to be more reliable. Do some searches on here for FASS, and you'll likely find some people with problems with their FASS's.
