Fuel pressure reg.

Had a great experience driving home from an 18hr. shift this morning. My fuel pressure dropped to zero!!!!!!!! The truck was running fine, so after I checked everything I could on the road I drove the last two miles home. I finally figured out that the regulator was empty. I had antifreeze in the line from the guage to the regulator, but nothing in the reg. itself. Its one of those little flat crome ones from Geno's. My question is, were did the fluid go??? Will it evaporate over time? Is it bleeding through to the fuel? If it was I would assume I would have diesel in my guage/pressure line, and I don't. So what gives? Any ideas? This setup is getting tossed the garbage anyway in a month or so. I will be going to the new Auto Meter pressure/reg setup they came out with. But for now I'm curious what happened here.
