fuel pressure regulator/nissan maxima?

How can you tell if a fuel pressure regulator is going out? My wife's Maxima is hard starting (when its warm outside).



I checked the fuel pressure 32 lbs. (within specs). Any ideas?

Fuel pressure is fine. You didn't say what year the Maxima is??

They have a lot of dist. problems. See if it has no spark when it wont start.

Its a '97 Nissan Maxima GLE



It will start... but not as quickly as it should (you have to turn the key on and let it sit... just like its a diesel), then it will fire off fine.



I just changed the spark plugs, fuel filter and cleaned the air filter. I just can't track down the (slow to start) hard starting (when warm).
