After 3 factory lift pumps & 1 VP44 I decided to go with an aftermarket pump system. I chose the AIRDOG setup. The fuel pressure with the factory Carter pumps was always around 12psi to 13psi at idle & when I stepped on the throttle I could pull it down to 5 or 6psi. With the AIRDOG my pressure is 17 to 18psi at idle & even under load it dosen't go below 16psi. Can there be too much pressure & will it damage the VP44? Thanks for any input.

I got a customer running the glacier diesel pump and it runs 20 at idle and the lowest we have got it was 5 at wot with the smarty on 8 and power puck.
