Just got the truck back together after doing the transmission again, the front cover and gov. springs. The truck performs pretty good until I hit 3000 rpm or more. Then I start to get a popping sound from the exhaust. The springs were installed by a bosch certified mechanic so I have to doubt there so I am thinking it's fuel pressure but haven't had a chance to check yet. Any thoughts

Im assuming you have 4k gov springs and the 60lb exhaust springs? If so maybe youve got something weird in the IP like a mis-adjusted governor arm?

Maybe a turbo leak?

Sounds like he didn't install 60 lb valve springs at all. He's experiencing valve float! Very very bad! And you'll need all 12 replaced for the high RPM's not just exhaust springs. You only need exhaust springs to run an exhuast brake, but for high RPM's all need replaced.

Still stock head and valve springs. But i'm not sure that its floating valves because at 2900 rpm its good at 3000 rpm I start to hear it. But it is a good point cause I didn't think about it. I guess i'll do some more checks
