I just shifted from a FActory FTP to the Walbro from Glacier DIesel.

The incab electric gage(from GenosGarage) read 11-13 with the factory and 13-15 with the Walbro. And it is steadier. I installed a dial gage in the line before the electric sender and it reads 1psi higher (brand new gage and liquid filled.

The Walbro relief/bypass valve is set on the lowest pressure.

Would I gain anything by raising the fuel pressure several PSI or would it be detrimental to the Fuel Injection Pump (VP44). The FIP is was replaced by the dealer 1 1/2 years ago (16k miles).

From what I've learned here the VP doesn't like pressures of 22 and up. Don't really know if you'll gain anything with more pressure - maybe piece of mind? I'm running 18 - 19 @ idle and constant no load cruise, and never less than 16 @ WOT w/comp on 5/5. I left the relief/bypass shims in it, as delivered.

Congratulations on getting rid of the stock LP.
