After installing a fuel pressure guage from Genos the readings I am getting seem to good to be true!! 16lbs at idle,13 lbs cruising empty @75 and 7 lbs WOT. I was hoping to get 2-3 lbs at WOT, but 7 ?? The fuel system is stock except for the new banjo bolt from Genos. The lift pump was replaced 500 miles ago along with a new filter. Just wondering if anyone else has these numbers or is my guage or sender not accurate.

Our 2002 has 16+ PSI pre and post filter at idle (gauges only go to 16 PSI), 14-15 PSI at 70 MPH pulling the 5ver, and I can't drag it below 13 PSI post filter at WOT even towing 13,500 lbs. :D

I have exact same readings as Rusty with my new lift pump (2 mos. old)on my '99.



Can we say STRONG lift pumps?? Gotta love it!:D We'll see how long it holds up to the BOMBbardments.....

The reason I was guessing the accuracy of my new guage was that "if it sounds to good to be true it usually is" but after hearing others with the same pressure I'll believe my guage!! Before installing the guage I was going to install a second pump at the tank but with the pressures I'm getting there is no need for that. Hopefully the new lift pump will keep up the good work. Thanks for the replies!!
 
Low1lbs fuel pressure

I just sent to Jannetty Racing for a Fuel up grade. A set of 100GPH (15lbs just running) Fuel Pumps, new lines and fittings to the injector pump. My present problem is at full throtle I get 1 pound of fuel pressure and the truck engineh bucks like someone shut the fuel off and on 3 times fast between the rpm range of 2600 - 2800 after that things are fine but I still get a low fuel pressure warning on my FMS from Blue Chip. I have an 01 with HX35,14cfm turbo, DDII, A Blue Chip FMS, Puck Timing Box, Trans shift Kit



After 3 Months and three new fuel lift pumps, no one knows what to do. The latest "fix" was a new ECM from dodge all this did was put the truck in "limp mode" I went back to the old one. And back to the same problem. The next trick is a new converter, the thought is that the tuck is spooling up to fast and sending a code to the ecm to shut down the fuel down until aftere the curve is over Will see.
