fuel pressure on 02

I used Brian's fuel pressure gauge on my new truck that has 600 miles on it. 13. 5 psi at idle and 10 psi at w. o. t. . Seems a little low to me compared to other members results. Now I have a baseline, and will check it at every oil change.

My lift pump is scheduled to be replaced. What I want to share with you is that my fuel pressure is fine when the tank is full and works good all the way to half tank. Once I get to half a tank my pressure fades. At a quarter of a tank I am almost at 0 psi at 70 MPH. Your pressure sounds low but maybe you should see what fuel level you have. DC tested my pump and ordered a new one. The test was conducted with less than a quarter of a tank. I am full now and the pump is 100%.

Thought I would share that.

10 PSI is fine if you are reading it BEFORE the fuel filter. For me as my filter gets dirty I see less PSI. Reminds me to change my filter. I read my pressure at the input to the injection pump ie clean fuel side of filter housing. When my pump is working right I never get less than 12. 25 PSI @ WOT and pulling a 6500 5th whl with 22 psi boost. Take that for what it is worth. Keep in mind that less pressure (flow) means less cooling to your injection pump. According to the tech manual you should never see less than 10 PSI on the output of the transfer pump.
