Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel Pressure

I just changed out my fuel filter. Prefilter I was getting pressures no lower than 8PSI at the VP44 the pressures went to 3PSI at WOT. The new filter did not make a difference. Also the truck does not want to crank right away if it sits for any length of time. I did tighten the injector lines.



Anyone got any ideas

I cringe to mention it... . but here goes. Lift Pump?

Sounds like it to me too! Mine is going in soon for the lift pump although my readings are higher. (thank goodness)

The lift pump was just changed out. Also if it was the lift pump wouldn't the pressures be down all the way through the system not just at the VP44. Guess the new one could be bad
