Where can i pick up fuel pressure on a 24v motor? My buddies truck has lost some power. He took the truck into the stealer and they told him it has ZERO fuel pressure. They want to sell him an injection pump and a fuel pump, if you can believe that. Can that be possible, it starts right up and drives down the road fine and you can floor it and it doesn't cut out or anything?

depends...

... on the year. the 98. 5 and the 99 have pre and post filter test ports on top of the filter housing. on the new trucks you have to get a tapped banjo bolt and replace one in the fuel line for a test port.

Get in touch with Briar Hopper, he has a gauge set up that will be just the ticket and the price is more than fair.

Yes the truck will run fine with zero fuel pressure, it will start fine too. Put a lift pump on it now or he will need the injection pump.
