I just bought a P. E. 4200 fuel pump. I've had it for a week. For the first 3 days it ran great. In the last few though the fuel pressure bounces between 10 and 20 PSI. I have a comp and DDII's,but it still does it with the box off. To make sure other factors were ruled out I today changed the fuel filter, checked the hose for kinks, checked power to it. BTW I have -6 and AN fittings from infront of tank all the way to the injection pump. I also put on a little mechanical gauge to rule out bad gauge, but my gauge was really close to the same PSI.

Also what kind of PSI does the injection really need to keep it going. Thanx for the help Eric Wagener

Any good ideas anyone. I did run 12 gauge wire to the spot. I grabbed a signal from the stock spot and then ran a relay to get full power to the PE4200

Eric, with that kit are you still running the stock lift pump also? If so then the stock pump could be the problem causing the resrtiction. The other thing to check would be for a voltage drop at the PE pump. With a voltmeter check to see how much voltage you have (pump running). The voltage should be fairly close to battery voltage. If you have less voltage you may have a wiring problem or pump problem.
