I just changed my fuel filter and after I got done, after I finally got it primed, the pressure comes up then goes back down till I start it and then it builds back up.

But before the pressure would come up and stay up when I started it until I would give it some fuel.

What does everyone elses do?

Is something wrong?

This is the first time I have done it on this truck but, I have done it before on a 99 and 95 (without gauges).

Is 13-14 #s OK at idle?

Thanks for any replys, George

Your fuel pressure is fine. After I change mine, I bump the starter a few times and it usually starts just fine afterward. Not sure about the fluctuating pressure, may have just been a bit of air in the system. As long as its steady now, I would not worry about it.

Make sure to check for leaks.

If the above occurs when the key is turned to the run position, prior to starting, it's normal. When the key is turned to the run position the transfer pump runs for 2 seconds and then shuts off.
