I have 99, I just changed the fuel filter, & now when I start I may or may not have fuel pressure, however if I bump the starter I then have pressure & if I start before the LP stops working I have 15psi & it stays there. Some times if I don't bump the starter it could be 1 or 2 minuets or more before I have any pressure. Any ideals on what may be wrong. WOT it never drops below 8psi I also have a Edge EZ box its been on for about 6 mo without any problems

Thanks for any help

Sounds like your lift pump is getting ready to go out. They start acking "strange" like that often just before they go dead. I have already replaced the original (at 17K) and it's replacement (at 27K) on my truck. They both started acting much like yours just before there was not any more life left in them. :(

LP pressure...

One thing to consider now that the weather is colder is if the grid heater is on. We all see it cyclying when the engine first starts, (you see the FP fluctuate while the grid is on) but the other day at about 40° ambient, going through the car wash with the engine ideling, I saw the grid cycle and the FP fluctuate. Just a thought.
