I'm going to be taking a trip and running through Canada from Niagara to Detroit. I'm trying to figure if I should fuel up in USA or in Canada. I see on the flying J site, I'll pass by a flying j in Ontario right about when I'll need fuel.

Listed on there site for the Ontario station is . 5890 L so that's 58. 9 cents a litre. So 58. 9 canadian cents. So it comes out to about $2. 20 a gallon in canadian money. which would be about $1. 72 a gallon in US money?

The fuel price at teh Flying J along the way in NY is $1. 57 US money. So I guess if I did my math correct, it's best to fill up in NY.

BTW, I love my new truck. Only 2k on it and the highway run I took yesterday was 580 miles and I got 18. 2 mpg. Woo Hoo.

Yes, fill up while your still in the States. Not only are the prices higher up here, but you would probably get burned on the exchange as well.

Not too long ago the Canadian dollar was down and some decent pricing could be found on parts etc. (I got Syntorq for about $10 U. S. from the dealer. ) but the current exchange for the loonie has pretty well negated any bargains.

Have a nice trip, though.
