fuel pump issue

the primer pump on my 90 is leaking is this a common problem? should I just replace it? is there a common thing that happens?thanks in advance. chainsaw

yes, yes, and yes.



Replace it right away. you might also check your oil level to make sure it hasn't gone up. Most of the time, when they go, they leak externally. OCCASIONALLY, they leak fuel into the crankcase. That is not a good thing.

Go for it. I just changed mine and the hardest part was scraping the old gasket off. It's pretty cheap insurance ($70) if it has infact developed an internal leak.



Looks like you're just across the pond from me too. Maybe I'll run into you somewhere along the line.

my old one had no gasket!!!:--) no wonder it leaked:--) came off easy. new one in place startes better & mo powa i think its just me but hey!!!

may be we will run in to each other.
