90 Fuel Heater leaking?

WIF Cummins Part Number

I am in the process of converting a 1963 dodge powerwagon crewcab over to 4bt cummins power. I picked up a newer style fuel pump (prior to injector pump) on the belief that the newer style is supposed to be easier to prime after filter change, injector work etc.

I now understand that there are different "lift" pumps - some lower pressure for the VE style injector pumps, and some a little higher pressure for the inline injector pumps. I've read on other boards, that the "higher pressure" one can cause my VE pump to "blow the seals out and leak"

Can someone tell me which one I now purchased?

My pump has the following info on it;

Cummins ABFJV, bar code 4988749

From ebay, I see some listed with a similar number; 4988747 which is listed as being for '94 to '98 dodge trucks. Hopefully (fingers crossed) this is the higher pressure pump and mine is the correct one for my VE pumped 4BT

I don't recognize that number. That isn't the part number.

They may be easier to prime, but I haven't had to prime the fuel system after a filter R&R.

You'd want the 3936320 piston lift. The P-Pump lift is 3936316
