I'm going to move the fuel pump to the frame for easier access, but I have a question. Do I need to remove the old pump first? What if I just leave it there. Will it impede the flow of the new pump? It's such a pain to remove it I want to avoid the hassle if I can.

Thanks

You only have to remove it once!!!!! Yes remove it!

I can change my pump on the frame in 10 minutes. Now running an Airtex. SNOKING

I'd remove it. IIRC, it's a vane style pump which will take a lot of pressure to turn.

You will need to leave the mount in place on the block, though.

remove the fuel filter assembly and it is a piece of cake. Anyone having any fuel pressure issues going below 10 psi with an fass ddrp? Relocated to the rear and all new lines. WOT is pulling about 6psi. Only thing that has not been changed or looked at, the fuel tank. Thanks.
