fuel pump

hey guys can some one help me out with this a friend of mine thinks his fuel pump went out on his 2003 is it in the tank or outside the tank and do you think he is better off with a after market pump for a few dollars more

From the factory, it had the pump mounted on the fuel filter housing. If the original pump quit and was replaced by the dealer within the last couple of years, it was probably replaced with an in-tank kit. Confused?



I have no experience with aftermarket pumps, but the Walbro seems to have a good following.
