Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel pump

have 1998.5 ram 2500 with air dog raptor block mounted pump. pump went bad will be replacing pump. my question is I here the problem with this pump they don't like to pull fuel that far from the tank. will it help to install a supplemental pump by fuel tank to push fuel to the raptor?

Pumps are definately pushers not suckers, moving it will increase your odds.

Get the Frame mount bracket from Geno's and the Carter/NAPA and relay and all is well. I am running my own frame bracket/filter arrangement with Holley Blue and it is OK for an $80 pump , makes 14 psi and 10 psi WOT and has for over 6 years. Had it to do over I would probably choose a different pump and if I have a failure , I will, but I have the replacement rotor kit from Holley ( $7.95) in the booney kit and that is hard to beat!
