I have a 04. 5 Cummins and I would like to find a 2 inch fuel rail pressure gauge to put in the dash. I would appreciate some help in finding a company that sells one. Oo.

Thanks,

Wayne

I just ordered mine from SPA. I got it in three days. It's a custom gauge designed by SPA for Matt400 on this site. If you do some searching you'll find it. It will display rail pressure plus another pressure reading. The display reads fuel and oil, but you can use it for high pressure fuel and low pressure fuel. I think I'll mount it in the SRT-10 pillar.

DLeno is working on an analog version, but I'm not sure when it will be available.

PM me if you need the contact info for SPA.

On edit:

Welcome to TDR! Hopefully you'll find it as useful and informative as I have.

I just posted on this subject in another thread. I'm in the final stages of getting all the mfg lined up for my analog gauge, which will be a custom Diprocol design. I've designed the analog gauge to be fast enough so that it will follow very sudden rail pressure drops (such as what happens when using TST on level 7, for example) or to study rail pressure behavior of brand x pressure box.

Cool. I remember we discussed this a couple years ago. I still haven't got around to making one. I'm interested to see what you and Diprocol come up with...

This is great! I would like to see something else other than the SPA gauge. Will it be using the OEM sensor?

yea it uses the stock sensor. thus it is a DIRECT MEASUREMENT of rail pressure, and limited to that sensor's own ceiling, such as I have well chronicled in various posts and in TDR articles. It does not perform any calculations or derivations to predict what it might think rail pressure is, which of course is the case for any device reporting rail pressures above approximately 26,500 psi or perhaps 27,000, depending on the truck.
