was thinking about installing a fuel pressure regulator inline after dd pusher pump mounted on the frame. when truck is at idle pressure can read over 25 psi. never less then 10 at wot with comp on 5-5. concerned about to much pressure at vp44. what do the gurus think? is it worth it? if so what kind of reg ? installed where? any input appreciated. thankyou

Anyone?

Lots of regulators in summit but not many that don't have a return port or are compatable with diesel. I would plumb the return if I HAD to but most of the regulators are designed with a max outlet pressure of 7psi for carburators or minimum outlet pressure of 40 for high pressure EFI.

what i really want to know is if it is necassary to limit the pressure going into the vp44?

thanks for the intrest rivercat.

Not sure either way many of opinions both way. Mine peggs 30 all the time idling and never goes below 16 even with the D-comp turned up.
