Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel Return Lines

Can the fuel return lines be changed out to -4 or -6 lines back to the tank?



I have gone thru 6 banjo washers on the back of the head and it won't stop leaking!

I'd think that they can be, but you'd have to go after the banjo bolt on the vp44 because there's a check valve ball in there and it has to stay there for anti-drainback purposes.

If it is the same thread size as all the other Banjo bolts used, there is an adapter to -6 or -8 available.

Joe, I'll have some spare -6 fittings... I was curious if it would cause a pressure problem going to a bigger line.

As long as you maintain or increase the size of the return line you should be ok.



I think the current line is 3/8" so, -6 or larger should work for you.
