After I smoked my selenoid, the replacement was the revised edition. Outwardly, it is larger in diameter and height. With the new mounting bracket, it was very close to the brake body/fluid resevoir. So close in fact that with the drivers side front tire up higher, the twist would cause contact between the selenoid/cylinder.
I unbolted the four brake cylinder nuts under the dash and pulled the unit foreward under the hood. I slipped some washers on the two bolts towards the engine so when tightened, the unit is pushed away from the engine. Had to adjust the brake light switch too. Anyone foresee any problems with this? Seems to work just fine.
