I have a 95 2500 with 78000 miles on it. The Fuel sending unit has been bad for half that. I have had several to tell me they have had to change them 3 or 4 times. I have been using the mileage to gauge my fuel usage but really would like to have the gauge working as I had a fuel line leak on a trip to the New England States about a year ago if I had not caught it I would have been pumped dry. My question is have they improved them any where you don't have to change them every 30 or 40000 miles.

I am also going to change those fuel lines to the marine grade are the 5/16 and 3/8 side by side one return and the other to the pump.
