I've been involved in a couple of threads about the solenoid

and relays. I remember someone put a thread on here about a pto cable for manual shut down, pretty sure it was stainless steel

if anyone knows anything about this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Bill

Hi Bill:

NAPA sells a pto cable that I just installed on a F 600 to replace the shut down solenoid. Worked like a charm. It will work on ours too.

thank you

went to napa and bought 2 cables one with a lock and one without. Gonna hook up a shut down and throttle. Did you driil hole to hook up the shut down, the hole for the clip that was for the solenoid would make it a push not pull in order to work.

thanks for any advice.

Why??

Just wondering why one would need a manual shutdown cable?? Is this just a preventative measure in case the solenoid fails and doesn't cycle and one can manually shut it down??

because the solenoid or something electrical in the wiring went bad so this is the way I choose to fix it. I tried new relay didn't work, and I ran wire from battery to solenoid and it worked.

tested the blue wire etc... . so $17 and shut it down manually.
