My fuel shut off solenoid crapped out and was wondering if anyone has a template or pics of the install of a choke cable in place of the solenoid ? The solenoid is too darn much money to replace it. IMO
Have you tried running power straight to it from the battery or cleaning it?
The problem most often lies elsewhere.
About the only time solenoids fail is when the starter contacts stick and energize the lift up coil for too long frying it, you can usually smell it dying.
Yeah tried it, doesn't hold very much, if at all, great voltage to the solenoid at both contacts and good ground, energized it on the bench and don't work so good. Not at all strong.
