Okay - it's a new FSOS. I can start it by pumping the peddle but if I do that I have no power from my new #10 plate and 3k GSK installed. If I pull my FSOS up before I run it - then the power is there like a rocket. I know the key is missing in the shaft that rotates for the fuel shut off.

Maybe its in the wrong position - but I lined up the key slots so it should be good?

I'm thinking about going manual with a PTO somewhere... I hate these things. But I am loving this new set up... Lots of power and lots of smoke when I want it.

IIRC there's a proper length to set the rod at.
It's probibally too short. Screw around with it and see if it makes a difference.

Eidit:
It sounds like youe soleniod is NG. Take it apart and clean it. It usually dont go bad, just gets sticky.
If that's not it get a relay.

if you want to do the Manual fuel shutoff, go to your local IH Dealer and ask For a manual fuel Shutoff Cable For the DT 466 motor. It is about 3 feet long. I used plastic zip ties to secure the Cable and it works g eat!Just thought s would post my $ . 02 worth...

1. I like the "NoBama"!

2. I went to O'Reillys while I was out today and just installed a cheapy... I am going to get an Adjustable / Screw in & out / Push to pull in and out PTO whenever I get into Houston. For now I really set it up pretty good. Works great - even moved my Trailer Brakes up higher so I can reach them easier when pulling.

I definetly had some problems with the Fuel Shut off - I have twice the power now that my cable is holding FULL ON position. I mean WOW - what a difference. It must have been half closed!

I can smoke the tires in second and take off like a rocket in 3rd. Gotta stop that though... I will install the Amsoil Air Filter tomorrow night to lower my EGT's.

instead of having a big @ss knob, all you have is a T handle, and no holes through the dash panel if you put it next to the hood latch. . pushed in and out of the way will allow the motor to run... pulled out will kill the fuel flow, and as soon as it stops, you can push it back in for a flawless start... how cheap is your "cheapy"? I paid about 70 bucks for the cable which is MADE for this... don't scrounge and be a cheap @ss taking shortcuts, it will cost you more in the long run! just a word of advice to you.
