Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel shutoff solenoid install

I just got a new solenoid and relay for my truck. but I dont know where to start or quite honestly what to do. So if anyone knows of a site or somewhere where I can find removal and install instructions that are step by step. Or if you can lead me through it step by step would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Looks to be pretty straight forward job. Instructions say disconnect negative terminals from both batteries and electrical connection at solenoid, disconnect linkage from solenoid to injection pump, remove bolts from solenoid, remove and install new solenoid, install bolts, hook up linkage, battery cables and connection to solenoid. To check adjustment of linkage, turn ignition switch on but do not start engine. Pull up on the lever, if solenoid is working correctly, lever should stay up. Measure from bottom of solenoid bracket to top of injector pump shutdown lever pin. Should be 2 41/64 inches. I have never done this job, just trying to be helpful. bg

Alright thanks this is helpful. Do you know the location of the relay or what it looks like? Someone said its on the firewall behind the brake master cylinder but i can't seem to find it.

The Power Distribution Center should be located on the drivers side fender well, big black plastic box. bg

The relay is ganged with a second relay. both are mounted to a single bracket on the firewall,drivers side,up high right under the hood seal that likes to fall off

The fuel shutoff solenoid relay is the largest of the two and closest to the master cylinder/driver's side fender.
