does anyone know the size & grade of the rubber suction/return fuel lines as well as the line going from the lp to filter housing? lately on startup i get like a missing or engine loping, like the timing is way off. is it possibly the fuel lines?

thanks for any input

also the cummins/fleetguard or napa part #'s for:

fuel filter

water in fuel sensor

fuel strainer or screen assembly (in lp)

You might want to check your overflow valve for that problem.

I bought my fuel hoses from Larry B. at:

thanks Joe G,

i just finished changing the fuel lines as well as the fuel filter, power seems to be up a little, and stumble is gone so far. i'll check the overflow valve next.

i will also have to get the fuel strainer from dodge as the cummins dealer near my home can't find the part# or recognize it, as well as all the parts houses.

thanks,

I doubt the fuel strainer is involved with the problem. It's cleanable so no need to buy a new one. You need to check your fuel pressure on the road to see what is going on. If you have good fuel pressure at the input to the injection pump then the fuel supply system is ok. Look somewhere else for the problem.

thanks again Joe G,

the stumble is back a little worse, but clears up at approximately 1k revs.

overflow valve, lift pump, injection pump?

thanks
