Here is one for you, I recently took a trip to western Wyoming and noticed the fuel pressure guage was changing from the usual 15psi down to 10 then to 7 and 6 then back to 10 . Upon stopping and then start up again, it would go up to 15psi and then start the downward oscillation again. This went on for the entire trip (600 miles). As a clue there was ocasional fuel dripping on the ground from the forward crossmember under the tank. Yesterday I dropped the tank and found that the main 3/8 suction line which runs along the frame between the frome and the tank had been abrated through in two places by the dirt and the tank. This very small hole was drawing air enough to cause the fuel to areate or foam. This was in turn causing the fuel pressure to vary. Fortunately I caught it before any damage was done to the VP-44. Has anyone else experienced this problem? As another Clue, my fuel milage went from 19+ to over 23mpg, nice huh! But I am sure it will return to 19 now.
