At what point do you start to need fuel system upgrades?

Can you do injectors and a boost fooler without it?

Can you do a fuel box and injectors or just the box with stock injectors?

What combo can you get away with before you need upgrades? I know there are large debates on which type of upgrades to do on the fuel system.

I looked at the kits from Jannetty Racing and wasnt sure what all I would need since they have a lift pump kit and a pusher pump kit as well as install kits for each.

Bill, the rule is as long as you have some pressure to the injection pump you are doing OK regardless of what you have hooked up or put in. I personally would not be real comfortable unless I was seeing 5 or 6 PSI at WOT and 2500 RPM or so. I have seen a TST Pmax 3 Comp version with 275 injectors to the tune of 375HP or so running 8 PSI at WOT with the only fuel system mod being banjo bolts. Let your fuel pressure gauge determine how much more you spend, it will be a lot less than you think. Hope this helps.

Bill---this has been thrashed alot---and I think most think that the stock system can handle around 325hp or so with maybe doing the bored out banjos or better yet doing Brandon's -06AN lines and above that you may want to redo the supply lines to something larger---there are guys who've done very little and are running around 400hp and others who've gone extreme(yes that's me)---good luck---I think anytime you can remove restrictions it will help and not to mention relocating the stinking transfer pump----chris
