Should I install a Overdrive unit or not?

4L80E transmission conversion

I just received an email from a gentleman who has one on his 24v and he stated the pump is set at 16. 5 PSI.

For the 12v I was told the pump can put out 24 PSI.

RESPONSES from my e-mailed ???

Hello Jim,

First, the FASS System has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and on the 2002 it will eliminate the factory lift pump and filter.

Brad

Hello again,

I forgot the psi question. We send it out stock with 14 psi and it can be adjusted.

Hello JJ,

Let me try to answer your questions the best I can. First of all, if you are going to install the complete FASS fuel system you will not need to drop the tank. The only reason for dropping the tank is if you choose to do a larger siphon tube out of the tank. But the standard system comes with a factory connector that all you do is snap in place on top of the tank in place of the stock feed line. Very simple. And for the return line, in the kit we supply a

T fitting setup that simply goes in the tank fill tube vent tube, which is the 3/4" tube that is along the side of the filler neck tube. Very simplealso.

The system does not come with any 1/8" NPT gauge ports but we can supply it with one near the VP44 for an additional $30.

We do not have any diagrams persay of the system but the instructions are extremely detailed and show every step clearly and with pictures. Installation

is done with simple shop tools and takes roughly 2 hours for a neat clean

job.

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please feel free to call

our

office at 724-335-6167 and Doug will be more than happy to help you.

Thank You for your inquiry.

Hello JJ,

We can maintain 14psi and the filter are available through different sources. The water separator will last about 3 years and is $18. 50 and the fuel filter will normally last about 100,000 miles and is $24. 00. Yes parts are gotten through us.
