Hopefully I've resized the files correctly and you can view them.....

This is the 80 gal tank we found in the junk yard... . they first wanted $225. 00 and lost it... . we later found it in their scrap pile and purchased it for $35. 00.

It came with brackets and cage as it was off a diesel school bus that was scrapped... .

We ran a line from the bottom of the tank to the side of the stock tank and will later connect the vents..... We expect to fill at truck stop with two nozzles and expect like our larger trucks for it to gravity flow to the main tank... the top of the new tank and filler is the same height as the stock tank..... and the bottom of the add on tank is about 3" higher than the stock tank... .

Just keep on adding all that junk as my wife says. Before it is all over and done you are going to overload that new truck... .

Keep up the good work. I was traveling north out of Atlanta toward Waynesville, NC 2 days ago and stopped at a DC dealer. They had your truck sitting on a hill in front like it was the King of the Hill.

Oo.

(30 gallons main tank + 80 gallons aux tank) * $3. 329 / Gallon today = "Would you like the 15 year or the 30 year loan for that sir?" Nice looking setup. Too bad you had to pay so much for it. :)

Hey Rabbittree You want a second tank in your 1st gen? In my buddies 93 we put in a Ramcharger tank. It goes between the frame rails and I believe it hold 30 US gal. He hooked up an electric fuel pump and when his main tank gets empty he turns on the switch to the pump and it slowly fills up the main tank. Be carefull however as the Ram tank holds more fuel than the stock tank, just be sure to watch your gauge and shut it off before it overflows. This will leave you with a "reserve" in your second tank. It will take some practice as to when to turn on the switch, if you do while you are driving, because it is a slow fill. He plumbed it into the over flow hose on the main tank. This will free up box space. You don't have to worry about return lines as you are just using the second tank as a means of "carrying" extra fuel. The expensive part is that you will have to cut a hole in the outside of the box to weld in the fuel door and a hole in the inside of the box for the "bump" ( the inside "bump" quit in 1983 ). His truck had a service box on it so he didn't have to do this. I did this on my 82 club cab years ago and I will be doing the same thing on my 84 crew. Shadrach
