I am about to install a FASS onto my truck. While I have the tank dropped, I would like to clean the inside. Common sense would suggest that a pressure washer is not the right tool. What is the proper method that yould hopefuly not result in a major mess?
I would first look inside and see if you really need to clean it out. Being a plastic tank there is no chance for rust. Pour the remaining contents of the tank into some kind of container so that you can look for junk that might be in there. If it is relatively clean then I would just swish it out a gain with some clean fuel.
When you have the tank drained down to a remaining 1-2 gallons it will be very easy to see if you need to clean it or not,the water will be separate from the fuel. If it is there you will see it easily
