If I had only known it was this easy, I would have done this crap 2 years ago when the sending unit went out... . Wow... . Now, we just have to wait on DC parts house to open bright and early on Monday! The strainer in the fuel tank was a little dirty, but I cleaned it out as well. . Its going to be wierd, having a damn fuel gauge that works, and not hearing people ask,"Are you out of gas??" No, I am not, and its #2, NOT GAS!!! lol, oh well... will keep y'all updated!

Don't waste your time repairing a bad sender, I can tell you from experience it won't last long. Perform the fix on a new one.

Chris, dropping the tank is the easy part, getting it back up especially with one person is the hard part.

Bill..... I tell you what. . you have more than a help to me, as well as alot of other people... I dont know what it is that you do for a living, but it seems as if you are a lifesaver on the TDR... I cannot thank you enough for all your input, and advice. . BTW, I am getting a new sending unit, and there is 2 of us putting the tank back on together! it had more fuel than thought, but thats ok.
