2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel Tank Module Question

Does anyone know if there is a check valve in the fuel tank module's supply line? Couldn't find any reference to one in my service manual but someone had mentioned that they thought there was.

there is a flip valve in the filler neck to prevent spills in a rollover, it is down by the tank itself.

No check valves in the module, check valve is in the lift pump.

Has anyone heard of a rash of lift pumps with bad check valves. I seem to have a drain back problem that started right after a new lift pump was put on. I bought another one and installed it with in a month of the other one and it seems to have the same problem. All my diagnosis seems to center around fuel draining back into the tank after the fuel filter
