Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel tank pressure/vacuum

Just returned from Florida camping trip. Noticed when removing fuel cap to re-fuel after long interstate run; there was a long hiss as though the tank had either pressure or vacuum. When I got home I removed the cap and again long hiss. Have owned this truck for five years and never noticed it doing this before. Is this normal. I know gas vehicles are close system and have a vacuum but didn't think diesel did.

3). Inspect the fuel tank rollover valve for restrictions or that the shipping cap has not been left on the end of the valve.
