fuel tank pump

Just had my lift pump replaced with one in the tank under warranty and my question is with a bump of the starter will the new one in the tank still run for 30 seconds like my old one did when I needed to fill my filter canister.

All I have to do is turn the key to the on position and the pump runs.

It should. The logic for the pump is fed by the ecu. All they did was extend the wires to the tank. I installed the FASS and it kicks on just like the factory pump.
