Has any one replaced their stock fuel tank with a larger one, and if so any problems doing so.31 gal just don't cut it. Looking at a 50 replacement.

Right now No one makes a larger tank for our Newer DEF trucks. I'm in the same boat you are 31 gal just don't cut it on a long trip. However I'm not about to give up any bed space for an aux tank. I hope Transflow or Titan comes out with something even if only 35-40 gal it would be better.

check out the new geno's catalog page41.titan 30 gallon fuel tank that installs where your spare tire is located.

And your spare tire goes........where? As above poster, not willing to give up bed space, would not a tire laying in the bed take up the same space? The tank is great, if there was a place to put the spare!

I'm in the same boat. With a shortbed I don't have bed space to give up. You ever bring a daughter to or from college? I almost need a 28' box truck to fit it all....LOl

Aero Tank makes a 50 gal replacement or you can go up to 68 with a tank above your spare, but will make the tire sit 7" lower....

Not correct, unless they have a new one that is NOT on their web site. All end in year 2012, except for the spare tire fuel tank. Nobody that I know of makes one for the DEF equipped trucks.

Web site shows a tank for 2014 long bed crew cab 52 or 70, yep their site shows no tank for 13, I called them last week and said that they have, for the trucks with DEF.

I like the idea of replacing the spare tire space with a tank and as far as the spare placement, I went to Alaska in 83 and had a "Deer Stopper" homemade front bumper guard and incorperated a front spare tire mount which, by the way, caught a lot of road fodder, preventing a lot of front end damage. I don't think it would be a problem with cooling air flow on the Ram, but something to consider!

aluminized steel rust where it is welded, and every aero tank I have seen and pulled including mine has MANY welds.
