Archived Fuel Tank Straps

Hello

I was parking my 1996 and walking away when my son noticed that I had something hanging down by the rear tire. I looked and their was my fuel tank. The back strap had come apart. I limped home and was lucky to find a new fuel tank strap at my local Chrysler Dealer for $23. 00. It is mush better than the original, with rivited joints instead of pressed sheet metal.

Be carefull and check your fuel tank straps. Oo.

My sister had that happen on her Ford Ranger... she didn't notice the gas tank dragging the ground, about wore a hole right through it. Ford wanted like $135 for the straps Ended up making some for $5
