Hi: I have a 2005 SWB 3500, I noticed that the fuel tank has two open vents one in the front of the tank and one in the rear, is it possible for water to enter these vents, should they be rerouted with gas line as mentioned in the DTR fourm: I haven't seen any mention of it here, I always spray the underneath with the hose before i wash it, Just don't want any problems down the line, Thank's any opions will be greatly appreciated.

2005 Larime, 48re, 3500, 4:10's Mopar nerf bars, chrome fuel cover, window vents, premium tonneau cover, chrome hood protection, Black with grey interior.

I routed both vents with hoses and looped them over the filler and into a dual input gas filter (to keep the trash out of the hoses). Now I can fill my tank without having the vents leak (in or out). There have been complaints of the front vent sucking water (it is in the bottom of a depression). My 2005 had a short hose installed at the factory to prevent that. However, I guess dirt and other trash entering through the vents is just fine with DC.

Fuel Vent open port

That seems like a good idea with the hose going to the gas filter, I Am suprised that not many other's seem to care about those open port's I guess they will when they find themself's with water in there fuel and DC say's your fault??
