Fuel transfer pump

Hi all,



Since my dealer is jacking me around on checking my fuel pump I was looking into changing it myself. Dodge wants $275 for the pump. Can anyone reccomend anothe place to get the pump? And is this something I can replace myself?

Order it from any Cummins Service Center (they even have overnight mail-order). The customary price is $145 but if you join the PowerBooster's club you get an additional 10% off.

Seems I just posted this link yesterday. How to change your lift pump in 1/2 hour



Call the local REAL Cummins parts store, get there number from the http://www.cummins.com web site. If its 2 far to drive, have them ship it, over night it you need it that quick.



if its a 98 or 99 (maybe 2000?) you may also need an adaptor harness. Also ask for 6 sealing washers if you use my directions in the link above.



If you have not changed the filter in a while, order one while your at it.



the real cummins distributer will only sell you the latest version pump, for a list of $167. 00 (or close) Washers are like 90cents each. I forget what the wire kit cost.
