Propane Distributors and Tank Re Certfy

Thanks All I know in Commiefornia are fine, It happens all the time for various reasons but generally its the truckers fault EVEN IF ITS NOT. The company I'm working for has a suit going on now. A 4 wheeler was the cause WITH WITNESSES!! but yet the company is going to settle with what to me amounts to Extortion. The 4 wheeler was driving on a suspended license for the 3 DUI, lost a wheel and ran into the side of the tanker. Company lawyers are willing to give them $15,000 rather than fight a court case that may cost $75,000 to win. I don't agree with this but Im not writing the check. IMO if the 4 wheeler is at fault and shouldn't have been driving and can't cough up the $$$$$$ JAIL TIME FOR MANY YEARS I can't stand these lawyers that prosecute trucking companies when its obvious that they did nothing wrong. The lawyers should serve time right along with the guilty.

Right and wrong and just plain old common sense are things of the past I'm afraid. I saw this where I used to work. I started in the mid 80's and when things went to hell, the first question asked would be what do we need to do to get the problem fixed and the equipment running again.
When I retired 20 years later, the first question asked would be who do we blame for the problem.

Glad to hear you didn't have any old friends involved in the accident BIG.

I was happy to hear that they were fine myself, Driving tankers is a little weird to begin with then the added EXPLOSION idea with gas. It tends to seperate drivers rather rapidly. I don't think people who are driving trucks today have their hearts into it. We have some Highly Educated people apply as drivers. The reasons vary but the two most prominent are that high-tech jobs aren't as plentiful or those jobs laid people off. Pay with a DECENT company driving truck is good money here in IN. When I got out of the Military I went to work with ITT as a EAPBX business telephone installer. Great job better than average pay but I just couldn't handle working on phones as a Repairman SECRETARIES aren't the most lovaeable people in the world especially when their phone isn't working the way they think it should. I had a Class 1 (Dating myself here) when I was transitioning from Military to Civilian and decided to buy my own truck and become an O/O. The Mid 80's wasn't a good time to be an O/O and the wife said ME OR THE TRUCK. I sold it got clean and went to work for Chevron THE ABSOLUTE BEST thing I could have done. BUT I MISSED THE OPEN ROAD TERRIBLY.

I got my license reinstated after they put a restrtiction to automatic transmissions only within the state of IN. I went in for my yearly physical because of that restriction and they said MY FRIGGING NECK WAS TO BIG AROUND???? and said I had sleep apnea. I put my clothes back on and told the doctor the reason my neck is large is I've lifted weights from my early teens you can't see its not because I'm overweight AND YOU STILL WONT CHANGE YOUR DECISION? "F" YOU, I DON'T NEED A CLASS A ANYMORE. Its said that the industry is short 50,000 drivers I think its much worse than that. Companies are putting people behind the wheel that I wouldn't let drive my lawnmower

The annual DOT exam I have to do is a major pain just to keep my class A.

The rules make them really look for any little reason to fail you.

They wonder why shipping costs are up. Boston Globe today talked about produce shipping costs are making local businesses look more local for product.
