fuel/water separator

I have an '01 2500 (see sig. below).

Is it necessary to have an additonal fuel/water separator? I just attended a meeting at an injector shop and they say it is necessary? I just want to make sure because $275 for an installation seems a little high.

Frank the fuel filter and water seperator on your truck work very good, don't know that I'd spend any money putting a second one on there. Pete
