Just went out to drain the water separator on my 2K 24V, lifted the handle and nothing. Started the truck and shut it down, opened the valve, still nothing.

Left the valve open and turned on the key, out comes the fuel.

I'm thinking lift/transfer pump.

Any thoughts?

There is a vacuum lock created much like putting your finger on the end of straw. Sometimes you need to either bump the starter with the valve open or release the vacuum with one of the bleed ports on top of the filter to get it to flow.

:) If you extend the hose down below the frame and put a catch basin there, you can start the truck and while running, crack the handle up. This way you will use the pump pressuer to flush out the bowl. You can do this without extending the hose, but it's messy. Good luck. :D

BROKEN WIRE ??

HELLO...

I was working under the hood today an looked over at the FUEL/WATER filter,,,(it has the reallocator kit on) and saw a broken wire ,,on the bottom,, where it screws in to it??

Has any one else ever seen or had this??

I haven't really looked at it yet.

Will it push back in to the clip,,(or how ever it is attached) or do I need a new screw on nut/connector??

Also has ANY ONE EVER cut/spliced a "PIG TAIL" In to the line. . to make it a little LONGER,,SO AS to get up higher (or off) so as to

make it easier to unscrew it??

THANKS in advance

Mine would never drain anything either. When I did the first fuel filter change, while the housing was empty I decided to blow some air up the drain hose and a piece of crud came out. It appeared to be a tiny chunk of silicone. The drain works good now.
