I like what the article said about the advanced hydrogen fuel vehicles. 100% clean and not that efficient where used, and you still need hydrogen cracking refineries with natural gas feedstock or electric power plants to crack water, then the heavy leaky tanks delivering the slippery dangerous gas to the end user- in short range vehicles-sounds great!! Ask NASA about the safety of the hydrogen fuel. Rocket scientists still screw it up ( challenger ) sometimes. And gas station attendands are going to get it right? The same with the solar cells. Takes more energy in the manufacuring facility than they will make in thier engineered life. And the drums of exotic poisons that need to be buried from the fabrication process- Don't worry the enviriomentalists will voluteer to have that factory and landfill in thier backyard ( NOT ). Still makes sense when an extension cord or stringing miles of line poles is too expensive for a few watts of power. Like road signs, remote camping, roadside emergency radio phones.
