I just purchased 2004 4 wheel drive four door long bed. This is my first diesel and we love it. My question "will Jet-A fuel hurt the engine" It does not leave the airport property so legality is not a concern.
Not that I could 'borrow' any from work anyway, and I don't think much of anything exotic is approved for the newer engines, but I always smile at the concept of using RP-1
Ask Cummins. You can run jet fuel in your engine, but you have to add a certain percent of lube oil as well otherwise you will kill your lift and injector pumps. There is a published list of fuels alternative to diesel that you can run in the Cummins.
why would you run Jet-A through it? Its like boats, and motorcycles. Just more expensive because its a luxury. If it was free then that would be another story.
